This is a very high-quality fuel and you won’t have any problem with the nitro rusting the motor’s insides. Many enthusiasts have reported rusting from using cheap nitro fuel, and this is one of the few that will actually make sure that your motor doesn’t corrode over time.
One of the other big benefits of using this nitro fuel is the fact that it has a decent amount of oil for the price. If you didn’t know, oil is something very important in nitro fuel because it cleans the engine and protects it from corrosion, dust, and other particles. This nitro fuel has 12% oil, which is good but not great. The ideal would be to get something with more oil inside, but that is going to be pricier, which brings me to this fuel’s cons.
The only thing that I do not like about this nitro fuel is that fact that it’s a little bit more expensive than other fuel brands on the market. This is mostly because of the oil % inside the bottle. The bad thing about this fuel is the fact that it has a low amount of oil content inside. As I said above, oil is important in nitro fuels because it protects the motor’s insides from corrosion, so if you have a more expensive model and really want to make sure that it lasts as long as possible, it might be recommended to go for something with more oil content inside, or just add extra castor oil to the mix.
Traxxas 20% Nitro Fuel – Great Value For The Price!
One of the most popular nitro fuel brands available, this is a great choice for people that need quality nitro, especially if you are going to have your car run lean.
Traxxas has been making RC cars for decades now, and in the journey, they started making their own nitro fuel too. And let me tell you that they make one of the best fuel mixes in the market. This is officially a 20% mix, which will be fine for 99% of RC cars. There are some people that say that Traxxas nitro fuel was specifically made for Traxxas made nitro cars, so if you have a Traxxas car, this fuel bottle might be the best choice on this list.
The only con about this fuel is the fact that it doesn’t really have that much oil inside. This is pretty similar to the other fuel mixes above, but honestly, it’s understandable given the price of this bottle. Also, I have used this fuel mix before and one of the things that I do not like is the smell of this fuel. As soon as I opened the bottle, the fuel had a very strong alcohol smell, and when I used the fuel in my car, the smell emitted wasn’t the most pleasant.
The smell doesn’t mean that something’s wrong, but it’s certainly unpleasant.
Torco 30% RC Fuel – Cheapest Gallon Of Nitro On The Market!
If you are looking for the best deal possible, you should be looking to buy gallons instead of quarts. They are going to last you longer and more affordable over the long term. And talking about affordable nitro, this is perhaps the cheapest nitro fuel worth a damn on the market. A gallon of nitro fuel is going to be under 50 dollars, which is a steal considering that we are talking about 30% nitro fuel.
You should buy a gallon instead of a quart if you tend to buy nitro very often. So if this is your case and you want to save as much dough as possible, check Torco fuel out!
At that price, you would think that they will skimp on the oil content, but this is not the case. It features 10% oil, which is pretty good given the price of this nitro fuel. All in all, I highly recommend Torco fuel!
Morgan Enterprises 15% Nitro Fuel, 17% Oil Quart – For Sensitive RC Cars!
Last but not least, this nitro fuel by Morgan Enterprises distinguishes itself from other ones on this list by one thing: The amount of oil inside it. This makes it one of the best choices if you really want to protect your engine from heat and corrosion. Oil is one of the most important components any nitro bottle can have, and this one has plenty of it.
This is also a great nitro fuel if you are going to break in your nitro RC car. Generally, the more nitro, the rougher the fuel is going to be on the motor, and the combination of low nitro and high oil% is great for making sure the motor runs as smoothly as possible, things that are important when first breaking in an engine.
